St Dympna’s School Facilities
St Dympna’s is blessed with wonderful facilities designed to enhance the learning experience of our students. We have extensive playing fields with tennis courts and cricket nets for our students to use during our lunch breaks as well as before and after school. Both informal games and formal sports are conducted on these fields.
Our grounds are beautifully maintained and they offer many green spaces for everyone in the school community to enjoy. There are several outdoor areas and playgrounds for students and staff to use and enjoy throughout the school day.
N.B Playground Equipment. There are stands of playground equipment in the school grounds. These are used for different age groups and are only used at designated playtimes.
Children do not play on the equipment before and after school. Please respect this rule as it is in place to keep our school a safe environment for your children.
There are a number of outstanding facilities our school community utilises for many different purposes. Our recently opened Multi-Purpose Hall, a product of the Building Education Revolution, offers opportunities for musical, social and religious celebrations as well as sporting and community events. The Hall, described by Treasurer Mr Wayne Swan as one of the best he had seen in Australia, is used extensively for a wide range of purposes by the whole St Dympna’s School Community.
Our modern Resource Centre is a central feature in the school both physically and educationally. It contains our Library, Technology Room, Music and Learning Support Areas. It is an active learning environment where many children utilise its many features to enhance their learning.
Our classrooms are air-conditioned and well-maintained with a company engaged to provide an ongoing painting and maintenance program. All classrooms are equipped with Interactive Data Projectors and other technology, including laptops, as part of our school Information and Communication Learning Technology Program. They are designed to be welcoming and engaging learning environments for all our students.
