Enrolment applications are completed online. You will find our link on the parent portal as well as our school website.
1. An Application for Enrolment at St Dympna's Primary School must have:
- all Application for Enrolment details complete
- accompanying copies of:
- Birth Certificate
- Sacramental Certificates, (Baptism, Eucharist / Confirmation), if applicable
- Current school report for children enrolling in Years 1 – 6
2. Priority is given to:
- Brothers or sisters of Catholic families currently enrolled at St Dympna's Primary School.
- Brothers or sisters of a student currently enrolled at St Dympna's Primary School.
- Catholic students from within the parish.
- Catholic students from outside the parish.
- Students who are non-Catholic.
3. Students likely to require special assistance, (e.g. special resources and / or a modified class program and / or teacher aide support), will be considered in accordance with the procedures outlined in Students with Special Educational Needs handbook (Brisbane Catholic Education 2012).
4. When the number of Catholic applicants exceeds the places available in the school, the following criteria will be considered:
- Catholic Church commitment, (e.g. practice, sacramental program; parish involvement)
- Commitment to Catholic Education
- Proximity to the school
- Parental expectations
- Student's past record of learning and behaviour
5. Children enrolling are to meet the necessary age requirements for entry for each year Level:
- Preparatory: children must turn four by 30 June the year prior to commencing Prep, or the end of July with support documentation.
- Years 1-6: children will be placed in age appropriate classes.
6. All families applying for enrolments are required for an interview with a member from the School Leadership Team.
7. Enrolment at St Dympna's Primary School is at the discretion of the Principal.
